International Technical Seminar and AGM at Delhi – 18th Jan., 2020
International Technical Seminar was organised at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi on 18th Jan., 2020 on the theme “Rain Water Harvesting and Water Conservation”. The eminent speakers of the seminar were Mr. Kotaro Hirayama, President in charge of Business Development of Toshiba Water Solutions; Dr. S. Rajesh(IFS), Director, Governing Council Secretariat, National Institution for Transforming India(NITI Aayog), New Delhi; and Mr. Kengo Akamine, Senior Representative, JICA India Office. All the speakers delivered very useful and informative presentations. During the Q&A session, quarries of audience were answered by speakers. In the audience, approx. 95 guests were there present in the program including JAAI members, JICA officers, field experts etc.
Annual General Body Meeting 2019-20
JAAI’s Annual General Body Meeting for the year 2019-20 was held at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi, 18th Feb., 2020 and was attended by JAAI members. Dr. O.P. Dewal, President, JAAI, welcomed all members and thanked JICA India Office for their continued support. Mr. Pradeep Gupta, General Secretary, JAAI, shared details of events held during the year in General Secretary’s Report. Mr. M.A. Khan, Treasurer presented the current status JAAI account which was accepted by all present JAAI members.
Elections for the post of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Jt. Secretary and Treasurer and six members of JAAI Executive Body for the years 2020-22 were conducted by Mr. Shekhar Devasagayam, Training Program Officer, JICA India Office, who was appointed as Election Officer. New JAAI Executive Body elected for the next two years, 2020-21 and 2021-22 is as under:
